I’m thrilled to be starting a new venture, Ignitor Digital , with my long-time colleague, Carrie Hill.

Ignitor Digital is focuses on providing high-value, custom search services to everyone, regardless of their budget. Instead of cramming companies into packages and plans that may or may not meet their needs, we inventory the businesses online assets and consider it’s marketing goals to determine the best strategies and tactics for promoting it online.

No contracts are required. We do consulting,  one time projects (or tasks) or continue to build on success every month for as long as a client’s happy with the results.

Ignitor is also trying to fill a big gap in Local Search services for clients with tiny budgets. The best agencies don’t really want the little clients. And the companies who do want to sell to them don’t always do what is needed most. Carrie and I are putting together a process that allows us to quickly zero in on the best opportunities for quick  online wins for any local business. Then, we do some of what needs to be done for the client (mostly the technical and SEO stuff) and give them recommendations and resources for things they can do to help themselves, like getting listed in certain directories or adding photos to Google Places.

Our hope is that once a small budget business experiences increased ROI from their online marketing, they’ll come back to us for more work. But we know they have to start seeing some success before they have much money to spend. We’re working with a SCORE mentor to refine this process and hope to have some case studies to brag about very soon.
